This Wednesday, the 4th, is the opening for Jonathan Levine Gallery's Annual Summer Invitational Show. I will be in New York City for the event and would love some company so please drop by for your daily dose of art. Below is 1 of my 3 contributions:
If the World Keeps Churning, Turning - acrylic & color pencil, 13x16" (Life is an intentional leap through a breath of accidents.)
Have fun in the big apple! Word of advice, since you'll probably be moving around using the subway system - and you'll probably end up taking the #1 train to get to the gallery unless somebody's driving you (I've been to it, and had to take that one train all throughout high school) - avoid it during rush hours. you'll feel like packed sardines.
that's tomorrow! i wish i could go but i will be at a red socks game with my family. are you going to be doing any other shows in the new york or new england area?
I was wondering how long did it take you to sketch this piece? I really love your style! It's very soft and beautiful, elegant even. I am aspiring to become an illustrator! If there is any tips you can give me, I would appreciate it.
hoborobot24: I don't have any shows in NY or England anytime soon but I'll keep you posted if I do.
Natalie: Sketching up concepts always take a long time for me, maybe several days. I think the best tip I can give you is to make sure your concepts are given priority. Its narrative aspect is the most important, to me at least.
ooo i might stop by tomorrow.
