i'm still here
Sorry for the huge gap in updates this past month. I'm currently working on 5 paintings -- one for the group show in November and the rest for the solo next year.
Aside from that, I've been invited to be part of Anomaly in Vancouver, Canada. More info in October.
Also, I've been making frequent visits to ted.com for its reservoir of fascinating talks/lectures. The organization features speakers that I'd recommend listening to such as brain researcher, Jillian Talyor, and writer, Elizabeth Gilbert. Ideas that are worth spreading.

I love TED talks!! Can't wait to see more work
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! You'll be heading to Vancouver?! Can't wait to see your works over here and meet you in person!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back :)
ReplyDeleteI watched Elizabeth Gilbert's talk almost a year ago and this idea of creative genius being an outside entity has been floating around in the back of my head for awhile... I don't think I've ever experienced such a thing, but then again I wouldn't call any of my own art "genius." I'm interested to hear your thoughts on it. Have you had any experiences like the ones she described?
ReplyDeleteColleen: Yeah, TED rocks!
ReplyDeleteskimskies: It'll be my first time in Vancouver, let alone Canada. Hope to see you there!
The Aspiring: Glad to be back.
Lena: Well, I'm the other 99% of the artistic community that struggles, sweats, and breaks fingers to get a painting done. Every now and then, I do get those occasional visitations where I have these wild and fascinating ideas come to mind in the most inopportune time...like when I'm laying in bed, on the cusp of la-la land, these ideas circle around my head, and I'm just too tired to get up to write them down. I'll convince myself that I can remember in the morning...for the most part, I never do. Lol.
What are the name of the colors you use?
